Mole – The Epic Free Mac System Cleaner – Reviewed
Mole is a free, open source Mac cleaner that does the one thing most people actually wanted CleanMyMac for: sweeping out the caches, logs and orphaned files that quietly eat your SSD. In this first review on Mostly Mac, I run the terminal version on an M2 MacBook Pro, reclaim nearly 13GB of junk, and walk through its clean, uninstall, optimise, analyse and status tools.
There's also a $19 paid version with a graphical interface if the terminal isn't your thing. No subscription, no bloat, and after six months of daily use, no drama. If you're tired of paying rent on a maintenance app, this one's worth a look.
