Exceptional Mac Apps – Ep.3. – Clop

Clop is a Mac app that shrinks images, video, audio and PDFs without you having to think about it. It works from the clipboard, a drag-and-drop zone or watched folders, and its pipelines can handle anything from converting copied images to WebP to squeezing a screen recording small enough for email. It even has an MCP server, so Claude can optimise your files when you ask it to.

I bought Clop with my own money and use it every day. It costs US$17 for a lifetime licence on up to 5 devices, which is cheaper than the coffee you’ll need after your next bounced email.
