Sunset Surf on Seven
I’m not much of a surfer. I like the idea of it but honestly I just couldn’t be bothered to learn. So I stuck to using a boogie board with a pair of fins because there’s virtually no learning curve to that. Anyway – it all means I don’t follow the surf forecast or care particularly if a decent swell’s coming, so when I rock up at the beach and the surf is pumping and the line-up’s packed, I don’t complain that I didn’t get the memo. Nice to the Gerringong Surf Club boat out in the swell though.
Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa is my ‘go to’ beach as it’s a short drive from my house and offers a flexible number of landscapes in one small area. You can shoot on the beach, on the reserve by the boat ramp, over the rocks behind Crooked River or round the corner at Black Head.
