Sunset Shards on the Edge of the Cloud Bank in Gerroa

I knew that a lack of high level clouds to the south would mean a reduction in sunset colour but I had decided to go out, so out I went. Good swell was running and the line-up in the water at Seven Mile was a lot busier than I’ve seen it in a while. I photographed the skies with my drone and then took a brief detour to Toolijua to shoot the dying light.

Location

Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa is my ‘go to’ beach as it’s a short drive from my house and offers a flexible number of landscapes in one small area. You can shoot on the beach, on the reserve by the boat ramp, over the rocks behind Crooked River or round the corner at Black Head.
