Stormy Weather Makes Sunset Pop at Gerroa

I’d could see from the cloud that, if we got a gap to the west, we were in for a great sunset. What I didn’t know was that a storm was also pushing up the coast and bringing some rain and lightning to the south coast. I drove to Gerroa and pointed my camera at the dramatic skies.

Location

Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa is my ‘go to’ beach as it’s a short drive from my house and offers a flexible number of landscapes in one small area. You can shoot on the beach, on the reserve by the boat ramp, over the rocks behind Crooked River or round the corner at Black Head.
