Often when I walk over the back of the dunes onto Seven Mile Beach I just stand a while enjoying the peace and quiet and soaking up the serenity. Sometimes I wish I could bottle that serenity and have a sip every now and then or keep an emergency stash of it in the car’s glovebox. The next best thing to bottled serenity is a photograph of it and this image certainly sums that up for me. Before the hustle and bustle of the day. Before the phone starts ringing. Before the emails start arriving. Before the phone’s notification sound starts going off. Just pause.
This is a single exposure taken with my 10-22mm wide angle lens at Shoalhaven Heads on the 3rd of November 2019.
