Currumbene Creek is, without doubt, one of my favourite places on the planet. It’s the small tidal river that flows out from the south-western corner into Jervis Bay past the popular tourist town of Huskisson. It is lined with mangroves and the water is so crystal clear that that you can easily see the fish and the stingrays without putting a snorkel and mask on. The creek is lined with yachts and motorboats and serves as a highway for the local ferry that runs from Myola to the Huskisson wharf. You can see the small ferry in this photograph, moving up-river towards Husky.
This photograph was taken on Boxing Day 2018 which, as you can see, was a glorious summer’s day. It was shot with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro and is a single exposure.
