We’re lucky enough to have many amazing photographic locations here in South Coast NSW, but the one that draws people down here more consistently than any other location on the coast is Bombo Quarry. They used to dig up blue metal here and ship it by train up to Sydney, but all quarrying ceased in the 1980s and the place was eventually opened up to public access. It’s not a popular location for wedding shoots along with astrophotographers and regular run-of-the-mill landscape shooters like me.
This is a single exposure taken in the winter of 2017 at the northern end of the quarry with my wide angle 10-22mm lens at 22mm.
