While Hyams Beach is the best known white sand beach in Jervis Bay, there’s a whole string of them dotted around the bay, mainly on the western side. One of my favourites is Greenfields Beach located at the southern end of the Vincentia township. It’s a gorgeous little beach that’s well sheltered from the wind thanks to plentiful surrounding bushland.
I took this photo on the 22nd of May in 2019 using my Mavic 2 Pro drone. I flew the drone up and then back over the bushland to capture the white sands, the bay and the glorious sunrise colour. In the distance at the heads of the bay you can see Point Perpendicular on the left, Bowen Island on the right and Governors Head in Booderee National Park on the far right.
