Water World

We’re no stranger to floods round here, any more than we are bushfires. Much of the land below the escarpment is in close proximity to the flood plain and large sections of pastures and farmland are at sea level. Consequently the same places flood year after year and the locals are used to dealing with them. So while the rain event we just endured was severe, it’s not actually that unusual. That said, Robertson (just up the mountain from here) received nearly a metre of rain over a four day period, which is intense by anyone’s standards. And while this does not mean the drought is over, it’s great seeing all of the dams and creeks full again.

For the last 16 years I’ve been photographing, blogging (and more recently vlogging) about everything I find, see and enjoy here in South Coast, New South Wales. This is my blogging site focused on my hobby (and part-time job) of photography. Please enjoy my little writing and my photography and I’d love to hear your feedback.
