The Lighthouse, The Rock Pool and the Early Birds

Now that they’ve modernised the Princes Highway, Kiama’s about a 20 minute drive from my house meaning it’s a great and easily accessible spot to visit for sunrise. There are loads of good spots around town to shoot the sunrise and I’ve tried most of them at one point or another. On this particular morning I thought about the western side of the harbour and the large pool, but in the end I went to the lighthouse side and shot the lighthouse and then the rock pool.
I was supposed to be going to spin class this morning, but I took one look at the clouds and drove to Kiama instead. Hey guys. I have something of a surplus of images to share with you, so I should probably pull my finger out and actually post some of them. For starters, here's a shot I took at sunrise in Kiama on Tuesday. I got some cracking shots from this sunrise but I really love the splash of red in that Angel Ring box. This was one of my classic 'walking back to the car' shots, when I've packed up, but look over my shoulder on the way to the car and take one last shot. I was out and about in Bendalong yesterday (images from that to follow) and this morning I shot the sunrise down at the start of the Kiama Coastal Path.
