Sunset and Bioluminesence in Jervis Bay

Autumn 2019 has been producing some amazing sunrises and sunsets and early May in particular has been amazing. It looked like we were on track for a great splash of sunset colour on Friday but the high cloud shifted too far north of here and was replaced by pre-frontal low cloud. But my rule of photography is always ‘go anyway’ so if the forecast has changed I still had to see what I can photograph. I decided to see the sunset in at Hole in the Wall Beach and Booderee and had the place to myself. Then as I was about to head home I heard that there was a strong bioluminescent bloom in Huskisson so I swung by Shark Net Beach on the way home and photographed it along the eastern edge of the beach.

For the last 16 years I’ve been photographing, blogging (and more recently vlogging) about everything I find, see and enjoy here in South Coast, New South Wales. This is my blogging site focused on my hobby (and part-time job) of photography. Please enjoy my little writing and my photography and I’d love to hear your feedback.
