Big Wednesday at Werri

I’m very much an opportunistic photographer. While I like photographing storms, I don’t usually chase them, but if they fall into my lap then I photograph them.  Ditto with action sports of any kind – I wouldn’t go out of my way to photograph them, but if they’re on my doorstep, then why not. So it was on a Wednesday in late March 2011, that I headed to nearby Gerringong to photograph one of the biggest cleanest swells in a while at one of them most popular local surfing beaches. Historical note: this photograph pre-dates the opening of the Kiama Coastal Path and all that land on the headland was still very much in private hand at the time. Note also the lack of horrible concrete houses on the pristine headland.

For the last 16 years I’ve been photographing, blogging (and more recently vlogging) about everything I find, see and enjoy here in South Coast, New South Wales. This is my blogging site focused on my hobby (and part-time job) of photography. Please enjoy my little writing and my photography and I’d love to hear your feedback.
