Moody Sunset on the River and Some Lightning Over the Ocean
With some big blocks of heavy low cloud rolling in, I knew that any sunset colour would be brief. But I also knew a storm was coming so I headed out to Shoalhaven Heads to catch that brief sunset light and then afterwards onto the beach to photograph the storm as it tracked northwards along the coastline.
Shoalhaven Heads Beach is towards the southern end of Seven Mile Beach, just before the start of the old Shoalhaven River mouth. It’s a fairly wild bit of beach as they go, but you can capture some great shots by including the arc of the beach heading north and south.
