Gale Forces Winds, a Winter Sunset and an Empty Seven Mile

It was so windy yesterday that I hadn’t actually planned to head out for sunset. But I had to pick Catherine and Josh up from the train station in Kiama  and on the way home I saw the tell-tale pink colours in the clouds to the east. So I diverted to Gerroa and headed down onto the beach to capture what turned out to be a dramatic sunset.

Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa is my ‘go to’ beach as it’s a short drive from my house and offers a flexible number of landscapes in one small area. You can shoot on the beach, on the reserve by the boat ramp, over the rocks behind Crooked River or round the corner at Black Head.
