This looks like an awesome bit of kit – who wouldn’t want some Zeiss glass on the front of their smartphone? My issue with this product (and indeed with all add-on lenses for smartphones) is that the light travelling through the superior glass (Zeiss in this case) has to then travel through the obviously inferior tiny bits of glass that Apple or Samsung stuck on the front of their phone. So it’s not as if you’re getting pure Zeiss quality. So while I can see the value in changing the optical field of zoom (zoom or wide angle or fish eye for instance) I don’t think they can possibily otherwise improve the quality of any image taken with such a gadget.
