earning to edit RAW photos is a process, but switching between apps is arguably harder. You’ve got muscle memory working against you, and I’ve found it also stops you discovering the neat tricks you’d have picked up if you’d learned the app from scratch. Your assumed knowledge (the stuff you knew from Lightroom) gets in the way of the stuff you don’t yet know.
So when I started using PhotoLab, I kept a running list of every “oh, that’s fucking clever” moment, particularly the techniques with no Lightroom equivalent. This is a selection of those tips. With any luck, there’s something in here you haven’t discovered yourself yet.
