Culburra, Currarong, Point Perp and Gerroa – Exploring the South Coast
It was a beautiful spring day on Saturday and so Catherine and I headed out to explore the northern side of Jervis Bay. We headed to Culburra first in search of seals and whales, but found neither. Then we headed over to Currarong for an ice cream and found kite surfers and pelicans. We headed into the BWR and up to Point Perp to photograph the view from the cliffs and then back home to Gerroa for sunset.
The northern side of Jervis Bay is called the Beecroft Peninsula. It is dominated by the Beecroft Weapons Range, an active naval firing range which is open to the public when the navy aren’t dropping ordanance on it.
