Beach Life at Gerroa
Not being allowed to go to the beach for a few weeks has given the residents of NSW a renewed taste for beach-life. If I look back at these post-long weekend weeks in my Lightroom gallery from previous years, the beaches look much quieter. So even though the weather wasn’t that great and the surf wasn’t that good, the line-up was busy and all the parking spaces were occupied. I still managed to find a little bubble of isolation in my usual spot near the mouth of the creek.
Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa is my ‘go to’ beach as it’s a short drive from my house and offers a flexible number of landscapes in one small area. You can shoot on the beach, on the reserve by the boat ramp, over the rocks behind Crooked River or round the corner at Black Head.
