I checked the cloud forecast last night and it looked like it would be a white-out, but I set the alarm anyway. As soon as I got on the road I could see the colour in the sky and I knew we were in for a great colourful sunrise. I headed to Shoalhaven Heads first, but had a change of heart and turned left onto the Bolong Road and stopped at Berrys Beach in the middle of Seven Mile Beach. It was a cracking sunrise, interupted only briefly by a sprinkle of rain.

Location

It’s officially called Mid-Seven Mile Beach but everyone locally calls it Berrys Beach because it was the closest beach to nearby Berry up what used to be a bumpy sandtrack.
