Sometimes nature can surprise you. If you make an effort to turn up often enough, sometimes she will put on a show for you. So it was on two consecutive Sundays in winter 2011. Not only did I get to see a huge flock of seabirds roosting for the night, but the sky put on a great show too.
The estuary at Shoalhaven Heads is a great place to take in the sunset and spot some wildlife. The shallow waters here are usually closed to the ocean and not so deep that you can’t wade right out into them.
