Six Precision Tools Photographers Should Use Instead of the Ones Bundled in Their Photo App

hen Lightroom first came out it was purely about asset management and RAW post-processing, but over the years useful photography related tools have been incorporated into what is now a bloated and slow app. It’s a blueprint that other developers emulated (including the bloated and slow bit) and now most of the big apps – On1 Photo RAW, Capture One, Luminar Neo, ACD-See included – have multiple tools for those specialist photography techniques.
But the saying Jack of all trades, master of none, holds true in photo editing software. Just because you have something like a panorama blending feature on hand, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best tool for the job.
