Autumn Sunset Over the Estuary

As the Easter weekend came to an end, I ventured out onto the tidal sand-bars of the Shoalhaven Estuary and photographed a classic autumnal sunset.

It was pretty obvious to me that we were going to get a great sunset because the high clouds already had a slight tint in them with 90 minutes to go. So I made sure I set out with plenty of time onto the sand-bars of the estuary. As always, it’s easy to social-distance out here – there were just a couple of fishermen throwing a line in at the river-mouth. And then boy oh boy did the sky deliver the goods.
