Photo of the Day – Sailors Beach in Hyams Beach – 23/03/17

Sailors Beach
The unsettled weather just keeps on trucking here in South Coast NSW. The rain has backed off slightly but considering we were told it would be a hotter and drier autumn than usual, I’m guessing the Bureau of Meteorology will be checking its medium term modelling software – lol. However, the skies are at least a bit more broken this week, which has given the opportunity for some good sunrises and sunsets. Yesterday I had an inkling that the cloud would be perfect for a colourful sunrise so I headed down to one of my favourite spots – Sailors Beach in Hyams Beach down on Jervis Bay. There were a couple of other photographers on the beach (you can see them in the surf on the right of the photo there) who were photographing the sunrise from the water, but other than that it was pretty quiet. I flew the drone and shot a cool timelapse and got some great shots with the DSLR. This was my favourite from the morning with the just-risen sun lighting up the little creek at the northern end of the beach. Have a great Thursday guys 🙂
